Job Title : VDC Coordinator
Summary :
We are seeking a forward-thinking individual to join our expanding Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) team. The VDC Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting VDC operations and internal departments throughout the entire construction process. This includes training project teams on new software, assisting with document and model management, BIM coordination, drone and laser scanning, construction modeling, and utilizing cutting-edge technology to help teams succeed. This position may also involve providing design support for design-build projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the Business Development and Marketing teams to assist in securing new projects and creating visual materials to support business development efforts.
Manage VDC involvement and BIM coordination for all projects.
Support and further the development of VDC operations, including initiatives for AR / VR / MR, drone photogrammetry, and laser scanning / processing.
Research and develop new software and hardware solutions to enhance efficiency across various departments.
Foster continuous learning by providing training and mentoring opportunities to staff, ensuring the successful application of VDC strategies.
Present VDC initiatives both internally and externally, promoting the company as a leader in VDC technologies and processes.
Create VDC content to support all project phases.
Additional Duties :
Research and implement leading-edge technologies, workflows, and best practices to advance VDC operations.
Develop and manage metrics to assess the success of VDC strategies across departments and projects.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
3-5 years of experience with VDC and BIM projects.
Expertise in model creation for various project phases using a range of software platforms.
Knowledgeable about the different design phases and the associated requirements.
Strong understanding of construction workflows, production cycles, and priorities.
Proficiency in key design and construction software, including :
Autodesk BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
Autodesk Revit Enscape
Autodesk Navisworks Infraworks
Autodesk Assemble
Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign
Autodesk RecapPro
Cyclone Register 360
Various Rendering Platforms (Lumion, 3DS MAX, Unreal Engine, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Enthusiasm for mentoring, training, and supporting team members to maximize their potential.
Willingness to travel to regional offices to implement corporate VDC initiatives.
