Nurse Manager Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school and licensure in the state of employment and where practicing
- A minimum of two years' experience in nursing and one year in home health
- A good understanding of Federal, State, and local laws governing Home Health agencies
- Skilled competency with technology, including general office equipment and EMR platforms, preferably HCHB
- A valid state driver's license and automobile liability insurance
- The ability to drive safely in various weather conditions
You will assist the Branch Director in coordinating home health services and ensure adherence to acceptable standards of practice. The nurse manager will oversee patient care, conduct case conferences, review and approve orders, and provide education and training to branch clinicians on documentation requirements.
