As a Medicare Insurance Agent, you will be responsible for assisting individuals in selecting the right Medicare plans that best meet their healthcare needs. You will educate potential clients on their Medicare options, provide expert advice, and guide them through the enrollment process. This is a client-focused role where you will build relationships, understand your clients' needs, and offer personalized insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Medicare Education: Educate clients on Medicare programs, including Medicare Part A, Part B, Part D, and Medicare Advantage plans (Part C).
- Sales & Enrollment: Present and sell a variety of Medicare insurance plans to new and existing clients. Assist clients with their Medicare applications and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Client Needs Assessment: Assess client needs through detailed conversations and recommend appropriate Medicare plans that fit their healthcare, prescription drug, and budget requirements.
- Lead Generation & Follow-Up: Generate new leads through outbound calls, networking, and referrals, and follow up on inbound inquiries.
- Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing customer service and support, including assisting with plan changes, renewals, and claims-related questions.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all sales activities comply with state and federal regulations, including CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) rules and guidelines.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on Medicare plan offerings, changes in government policies, and industry trends to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information to clients.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: Valid health insurance license (Life and Health) required. Medicare-specific certification (AHIP) is a plus, or willingness to obtain.
- Experience: Previous experience in health insurance sales, preferably Medicare sales, is highly preferred. Fresh candidates with strong customer service or sales experience may also be considered.
- Sales Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to carefully review client details, insurance plans, and regulatory requirements.
- Self-Motivated: Driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Technology Skills: Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools to manage clients and track sales activity.
- Compassionate: Genuine desire to help seniors make informed decisions and navigate their healthcare options.
