Job Summary:
The VP of IT Operations will be responsible for managing the entire IT operations function, ensuring that our technology systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and aligned with our business goals. This executive will play a key role in driving operational efficiency, overseeing the management of IT services, and leading the strategic development and execution of IT infrastructure initiatives. The VP will collaborate closely with senior leadership to enhance technology support for business operations, improve system reliability, and manage cost-effective IT solutions.

Job Description:
As the VP of IT Operations, you will lead a team of IT professionals, manage the day-to-day operations of the IT department, and ensure seamless integration of IT services and infrastructure. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of IT operations, improving system performance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will also be accountable for the overall performance, security, and scalability of IT systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for IT operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth
• Oversee the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, including networks, data centers, cloud services, and enterprise systems
• Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of all IT systems to meet business demands, including high-availability and disaster recovery strategies
• Lead IT operations teams in day-to-day activities, ensuring they deliver on SLAs and provide exceptional internal and external customer support
• Manage and optimize IT budgets, resource allocation, and operational costs to ensure cost-effective IT services
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to integrate IT systems and services with business processes and drive digital transformation initiatives
• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security, compliance, and operational efficiency
• Develop and manage vendor relationships to ensure the selection and performance of strategic technology partners and suppliers
• Lead and mentor IT operations staff, providing direction and professional development opportunities
• Continuously monitor IT system performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and manage the implementation of upgrades and improvements
• Oversee the management of IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies, and incorporate relevant innovations into IT operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (VP, Director, or similar)
• Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, enterprise systems, cloud solutions, and security frameworks
• Proven track record in developing and executing IT strategies that align with organizational goals
• Strong understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and other IT service management frameworks
• Experience with managing large-scale IT projects, vendor relationships, and budgets
• Expertise in data security, compliance, and risk management in IT operations
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with senior leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry
• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with automation tools and technologies for optimizing IT operations
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP
