SUMMARY
We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage and oversee various facilities and construction projects from start to finish for an industrial manufacturing mega plant in Danville, VA. The Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external contractors, design engineering firms, and vendors to ensure the successful completion of each project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that safety is paramount during all phases of the projects.
- Manage and coordinate facilities and construction projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct site visits, monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, facilities management, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Work with external contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
- Develop and manage project documentation, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project team members.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, project sponsors, vendors, and community leaders.
