Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.
- Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Implement floor care procedures including carpet cleaning, tile maintenance, and other specialized cleaning tasks.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, inspections, and supply usage.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery within the hotel or facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and custodial procedures.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and an understanding of guest service expectations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
