Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and safety of our facilities. We encourage candidates across Barnstable County, Massachusetts to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in all areas of the facility.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, and equipment.
- Wash windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
Facility Upkeep:
- Respond promptly to cleaning emergencies, such as spills.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Safety Compliance:
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, bending, and repetitive motions.
- Must be authorized to work in US.
