Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description: The Galley Assembly Operator produces parts by means of mechanical metal assembly
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deburr parts using mechanical means (hand tools and pneumatic grinders)
- Cleaning and washing parts to remove manufacturing oils, dirt and debris
- Using hand tools, power tools, layout tools, and fasteners like bolts, screws, rivets, or clamps
- Installing and removing rivets on sheet metal
- Building sub-assemblies of aircraft parts and structures using engineering drawings and company specifications
- Reading blueprints, illustrations, or specifications to determine layouts
- Attaching operating equipment, and some electrical components
- Ensure continuous production of parts that meet customer expectations
- Inspect completed parts using micrometers, indicators, calipers, comparators, etc.
- Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System
- Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
- Other duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Installing and removing rivets experience preferred
- Sheet metal experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
- Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
- Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
