Position Description:
Material Handler position is 1st shift. The role supports the materials, shipping and receiving work cells. The role is responsible for picking parts and issuing them to work orders. It is essential that the person understands material lot control as they are responsible for selecting, documenting and electronically issuing the correct lots for every inventory transaction. This role will also support daily cycle counts and physical inventories throughout the year. This position will also support receiving including receiving purchase orders in Epicor and separating and physically issuing materials to work orders and inventory bins. They are also responsible for moving products between two buildings and occasionally driving or picking up materials at suppliers. This position will also support scanning and electronic filing of certs supplied with each supplier shipment. The role is also responsible for providing critical updates to management as needed. This role is physically demanding as you will be required to be on your feet lifting boxes and walking to different areas throughout the day.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Full understanding of inventory and lot control.
- Ability to receive purchase orders and issue materials to work orders.
- Reading travelers and bringing the parts to a specific area.
- Willingness to be flexible and support and work in multiple departments.
- Verbal communication is extremely important.
- Team player.
Qualifications:
- Previous material and inventory control experience.
- Computer skills and experience with MRP/ERP systems.
