Supply Chain Intern

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Position Description: Join us for a Supply Chain internship opportunity! You’ll be tasked with several Supply Chain related projects and gain hands-on experience working alongside our Supply Chain Team. The various projects are designed to give you a meaningful experience while helping further Enjet’s strategic objectives. Our goal is for you to make a difference at Enjet ultimately leading to a full-time position.

Supply Chain projects will include coordinating, organizing, and overseeing activities involved in the identification and acquisition of materials and outside services. This will be done by looking at current agreements, consolidating materials, and securing the supply chain.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work
• Provide immediate support as needed for Supply Chain initiatives and projects
• Analyze current and future demand needs within the MRP system to determine optimal inventory targets
• Acts as part of the team coordinating new project launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions
• Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers and vendors
• Creates, modifies or edits contracts or other purchasing documents
• Engages with suppliers as needed to obtain requests for quote
• Reviews purchases for contract and policy compliance
• Organizes contracts and other purchasing documents for record retention
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field
• Entering Junior or Senior year preferred
• Desire to learn
• Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of the organization
• Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and co-workers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
