The Neighborhood Charter Network (NCN) is a grassroots organization that launched in 2016 in order to manage a growing family of schools in Indianapolis, IN. The mission of The Neighborhood Charter Network is to expand educational equity to the communities we serve.
Job Summary:
The Bilingual Receptionist is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming office environment for students, staff, and families and for supporting the School Leader and Operations Manager with the overall success of schoolwide operations and systems.
Receptionist Duties
- Warmly greet all visitors to the school and direct them to the appropriate place or person.
- Manage the school office, answer phones, and manage mail and fax.
- Receive and distribute messages for students and staff.
- Respond to parent questions and concerns
- Maintain the professional appearance of the front office.
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
- Assist with interpreting to enhance understanding for families and customers.
- Track all visitors and tours.
Office Administration
- Support with collection, dispersal, security, and organization of all student cumulative files. Assure confidentiality of files is maintained and lock files where appropriate.
- Support with daily attendance calls for late and absent students.
- Support school-wide attendance initiatives.
- Sort and distribute all mail/packages and deliver to the appropriate person.
- Regularly update staff lists and contact information.
Student Information Management System Student Recruitment and Enrollment
- Assist with student recruitment
- Assist with the distribution of flyers, invitations, and other parent communication as it relates to the student recruitment process
Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior administrative or receptionist experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
