Enlightened Recovery is seeking a creative and engaging Full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. This role is ideal for a passionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the recovery journey of adults in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group therapy sessions at the Intensive Outpatient (IOP) level of care and Outpatient (OP) level of care.
- Manage a small caseload, including conducting individual counseling sessions to support personalized treatment goals.
- Maintain effective communication with the Program Director and clinical team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with state regulations and Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Required: Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, CAAC, or CAADC) recognized by the New Jersey Certification Board.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a health-related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensed professionals (LCADC, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC, or LCSW) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical dependency setting (preferred).
- CPR certification (employer-provided if not already certified).
