What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director position at Enlightened Recovery?
The Clinical Director is responsible for the 24-hour oversight of all clinical operations within the facility. This role includes managing the entire admissions and clinical intake process, providing strong leadership to the clinical team, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, the Clinical Director supports the facility’s marketing efforts, maintains a thorough understanding of organizational functions, and oversees all clinical activities to uphold the highest standards of care
- Adhere to the facility’s philosophy.
- Maintain an effective clinical organizational structure and delegate appropriate authority for completion of assigned responsibilities.
- Function as leader of Clinical Staff Meetings.
- Implement plans for performance improvement.
- Evaluate quality of program on an ongoing basis.
- Develop cost-effective methods to provide service.
- Provide for staff development (i.e. supervision, educational, etc.)
- Serve as support in holistic programming coordination.
- Recruit and interview new employees with support from HR department.
- Complete employee reviews, including 30, 90 and annual reviews
- Evaluate clinical staff based on specified performance standards, on a timely basis.
- Engage in remedial action processes, as needed, with assistance from HR department
- Attend clinical and administrative meetings to share information inter-departmentally, including QAQI, leadership meetings
- Meet with clinical staff weekly.
- Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all documentation, and conduct audits of clinical records to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and quality.
- Supervise students/interns completing a field placement.
- Train staff to effectively facilitate group therapy sessions and provide group therapy as needed.
- Support staff in managing caseloads and assume a caseload when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with staff and physicians.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director.
- Demonstrate knowledge of administrative and clinical policies and procedures, and the ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these procedures clearly and accurately.
- Display ability to direct and supervise Program activities.
- Oversee clinical program schedule to ensure proper implementation
- Oversee the admission and/or patient intake process.
- Maintain an effective and efficient daily staffing pattern within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure clinical staff meets educational/licensure requirements.
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
- Follow Infection Control guidelines at all times.
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
- Assist in formulating standards for patient care.
- Engage in rotating administrator on-call schedule

- Perform all other tasks as assigned including on-call duties.

- Maintains understanding of patient’s rights per the Mental Health Code, upholds patient’s rights, reports abuse of patients’ rights immediately and assists patients with filing complaints, as needed.
