What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Home Caregiver position at Enlightenment Home Care?
We are seeking a caregiver to assist us with a male client in Shelton. His wife has dialysis treatments M/W/F and he needs someone to be with him in the home from 11am-4pm. We are looking to cover his needs ASAP, immediate hire.
Required Credentials:
- HCA, CNA, or NAR preferred
- Nurse Delegate preferred
- CPR certificate
- Food handler permit
- Valid driver's license or state ID
Skills Needed:
- Proven experience as a caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
Caregiver Responsibilities (Varies from client to client):
- Personal Care (bathing/showering)
- Household Care (Meal preparation, cleaning the kitchen, laundry)
- Wellness (Companionship, conversation, safety observation)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
