Key Responsibilities
- Assist in operating a natural gas processing facility to ensure optimum plant performance and maintain safe working conditions.
- Monitor operations of natural gas processing, product treating, compression, and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Perform inspections and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enter log entries of gauges, dials, pressures, temperatures, gas throughput, liquid production, fuel consumption, and other shift activities.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and I&E Techs to perform routine maintenance and major projects.
- Ensure compliance with operating and maintenance procedures, as well as safety regulations.
- Complete monthly and daily reports, including environmental, safety, near misses, downtime, and plant logs.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on various types of plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
- Start/stop operating equipment such as compressors, process skids, etc. to meet operational requirements.
- Maintain general housekeeping on operating and idle equipment to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3 years' experience in gas treating/processing plant operations.
- Good understanding of plant principles and operations, including mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random drug testing.
- Ability to respond timely to any emergency situation.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Able to interface effectively with many internal and external customers.
- Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours.
