As the Dining Services Assistant, you will:
... be responsible for assisting in the dining operations of the community. You will support food preparation, beverage service, meal delivery, and other necessary cleanup as needed.
What you’ll do here:
- Assist in prepping meals and plating food
- Provide food and beverage service at resident mealtimes including taking resident meal orders
- Serve meals in courses; remove finished dishes from one course before serving the next
- Ensure that condiment containers are cleaned and filled
- Assist residents with cutting up food, buttering bread, opening condiments, or other dining needs as needed
- Bus the tables after dining services as well as wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, tables, and chairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
We’d love to talk if:
- You are at least 16 years of age
- You can provide quality customer service
- You meet, have, or are eligible to obtain all applicable state requirements and certifications
- You have basic written and oral English communication skills
- You care about serving seniors
Bonus points if:
- You have 3 to 6 months experience in assisted living or long-term care dining services or a commercial kitchen
- You have experience interacting with individuals diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
Pay Range: $11.50 - $12.75 / hour, Based on Experience
