Job Summary
The Ennis Center seeks a highly skilled Child Placement Specialist to provide adoption services to children in need of permanency. This role involves completing home studies, assessing youth and family needs, and facilitating the adoption process.

Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Team Supervisor and is responsible for:
1. Obtaining permanency for children through adoption by completing all required home studies, assessments, and other applicable reports and filings.
2. Following up on adoption inquiries, recruiting adoptive parents, and registering youth on MARE before deadlines.
3. Communicating with DHS to ensure proper paperwork is received for the adoption process.
4. Ensuring accurate, professional, and timely completion of Agency-required reports, paperwork, and filings.
5. Attending, conducting, or participating in case conferences, hearings, assessments, home visits, and other required activities.
6. Representing the agency at community meetings and interfacing with the community and other social service agencies as needed.
7. Immediately informing the supervisor and/or Program Director of any potential emergency situations.
8. Facilitating training for adoptive families and foster families as required.
