Responsibilities
1. Lead and support staff member on areas of concern and assist in creating solutions
2. Ensure Quality technicians have the necessary tools, equipment’s and training to do their jobs efficiently and effectively
a. Maintain inspectors training documentation and assure inspectors are meeting department training requirements maintaining the department training matrix
b. Supports the inspection process, including when necessary, required or as requested as an additional inspector
3. Assure the department is structured for maximum effectiveness and efficiency and that all procedures and policies are followed.
4. Management of Certificate of Analysis and/or Certificate of Conformance review and approval activities
5. Monthly reporting of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) analysis
6. Coordinate NCMR, MRB, and MRE activity to ensure proper handling of parts and documentation including timely resolution of problems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
7. Tracks productivity by staff members ensuring inspections performed on a timely manner
8. Support Quality Engineers on investigations
9. Ownership of nonconforming products / process and MRB management
10. Responsible for incoming inspection process
11. Manage, determine and control team overtime
12. Report department metric on weekly basis communicating status to each inspector
13. Serve as back up when inspectors are needed
14. Maintain daily appearance and clean environment of inspection area (responsible for department 5S’s)
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Technical Requirements
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. 3-year experience in manufacturing environment
3. Knowledge on Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
4. Electronic Quality Management system data entry of QMS records (i.e. QT9 eQMS)
Interpersonal Skills (to be evaluated in the interview)
5. Able to work in busy and fast paced office environment
6. Written and Oral communication skills
7. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Requirements
1. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the Interplex Sunbelt, federal, state and local standards, including productivity standards.
2. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the Interplex Sunbelt l, federal, state and local standards
3. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
4. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
