What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Billing Representative position at Enos Home Medical?
Responsible for:
- Assist our Respiratory Therapist with any questions/issues she may have daily
- Request ongoing documentation (CMN /chart notes) for Respiratory items
- Responsible for monthly PARs to expire report for Respiratory item group
- Responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations for Respiratory items
- Responsible for weekly Stop/Hold report for Respiratory item group
- Responsible for bi-weekly Unconfirmed report for Respiratory item group
- Sort through all E-faxes daily
- Enter all new Urological patients/ request documentation/ enter initial order
- Responsible for maintenance scheduling, as well as Overnight oximetry testing
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Occasionally take on additional tasks for coverage when team members are out of office.
- Responsible for incoming phone calls (questions, orders, etc)
- Greet customers at front window
- Schedule respiratory therapist’s appointments (Tuesday-Thursday)
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited high school, or possess a GED
- General knowledge of internet navigation and research, fax transmission, copy equipment, email, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Familiar with rules and regulations regarding the type of coverage being billed
- Familiar with medical terminology
- Individual must be able to spend 75% of the work day seated at a desk
