What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Intern, Children's Justice Campaign position at ENOUGH ABUSE?
The Children’s Justice Campaign at ENOUGH ABUSE® is seeking a part-time legal intern. Enough Abuse is the oldest child protection organization in the country, and its Children’s Justice Campaign focuses on reforming statutes of limitations, Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, Charitable Immunity, and Insurance practices nationwide to end institutional impunity, offer justice for survivors and protect more children from abuse in the future. The legal intern will be responsible for statutory and case law research, helping to draft legislative testimony, leave behinds, and keeping the legal facts and analysis on the website up to date.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Current student at an accredited law school, preferably in the Boston area
● 1 years’ experience with litigation/legal writing
● Demonstrated interest in advocacy or nonprofit work in the child-protection arena preferred
● Strong research and writing skills and personal initiative required.
● Three recommendations required. Law Review or Journal preferred.
