POSITION NAME : Cybersecurity & Customer Support Manager
LOCATION : Within 1 hour of commuting distance of Montgomery AL, Princeton IN, Paris KY, Louisville KY, Charlotte MI, or Detroit MI. This is a hybrid role that requires travelling onsite to our facilities regularly, which could be often as every week. This role is 70% remote.
REPORTS TO : Business Unit Leader of IT
HOURS : 1st shift, with frequent evening and weekend work.
DIRECT REPORTS : 4 managing vendors.
EDUCATION REQUIRED : Bachelor’s (4-year) degree or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : 4-6 years of high-level technical support, implementation, or development experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing or industrial setting. 2-4 years of cyber-security experience. 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION : Develop and oversee the implementation of information security procedures and policies. Build, maintain, and upgrade security technology, such as firewalls, anti-virus, and logging systems, for the safe use of computer networks and the transmission and retrieval of information. Design and implement appropriate security controls to identify vulnerabilities and protect digital files and electronic infrastructures. Monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions, and perform forensic investigations. May oversee the assessment of information security systems. Oversee the company’s IT help desk.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage and conduct team member cybersecurity and phishing training, including setting training courses, monitoring compliance, dealing with delinquency, and new employee orientation.
- Managing phishing testing and follow-up with delinquent team members and managers.
- Create cybersecurity responses to customers, questionnaires, and follow-ups.
- Tracking compliance with the company’s commitments to our customers.
- Manage IT vendors and negotiate contracts for both project-based and reoccurring work (KnowBe4, Crowdstrike, etc.) and manage cybersecurity and helpdesk contractors.
- Managing cybersecurity audits and tracking the execution of remedial actions. Coordinate monitoring of networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions.
- Plan and execute the backup and recovery rehearsals at each plant to ensure the organization is effectively positioned to bypass and recover from ransomware or other cyber-attack events. Develop and ensure compliance for response and recovery strategies for security breaches.
- Visit all plants to assess risks, meet team members with reoccurring failures, and make presentations to team members / management.
- Create and ensure procedures are properly documented and complied with; e.g. responding to reports of suspicious emails, backups, training compliance, and follow-up.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of defensive software tools such as firewalls, network protection, encryption, data security, email filters, and anti-virus software.
- Conduct investigations of information security breaches to identify vulnerabilities and evaluate the damage.
- Implement security-related projects such as role-based security, multi-factor authorization
- Staying up to date with cybersecurity threats, processes, and software.
- Achieving NIST compliance.
- This is a major milestone. Assess the quality of security controls, using performance indicators.
- Manage the organization’s helpdesk and IT Support Analysts to ensure all tickets and issues are resolved promptly, effectively, and pleasantly.
- Provide on-site technical support, investigate and troubleshoot, issues for end-users
