Network and IT Support Analyst
Position Overview
The Network and IT Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining network infrastructure and providing technical support to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations. This dual-focused role combines network management with end-user support, requiring both technical expertise in networking technologies and strong customer service skills to resolve a wide range of IT issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and end-user workstations
- Implement security measures as directed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Managers to protect network integrity and prevent unauthorized access
- Provide remote and in-person technical support to end users across the organization
- Perform regular network audits and updates to maintain compliance with security policies
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems
- Support custom applications necessary to run plant operations at EnovaPremier
- Document network topology, support interactions, and technical procedures
- Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to optimize system operations
- Track IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle
- Collaborate with IT teams on projects requiring network and support expertise
- Research and recommend technology enhancements to improve efficiency
- Other responsibilities and roles as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in network administration and/or IT support roles
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and troubleshooting
- Experience with network hardware configuration (Dell, Juniper, Cisco or similar)
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of network security principles and implementation
- Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities and customer service orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Network certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, Network , or equivalent
- Technical support certifications such as CompTIA, A , or ITIL Foundation
- Experience with Linux and Raspberry Pis
- Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python and SQL
- Knowledge of automation tools, such as Ansible or PDQ
- Ability to support Microsoft SQL Server and run basic SQL queries
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools, such as PRTG or Solarwinds NPM
- Experience in a multi-site or enterprise environment
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, may require occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance or emergencies
- Some on-call rotation for support at all locations
- Mostly on-site, but hybrid work arrangement possible depending on organizational needs
- May need to travel from 10-25% to meet various business needs
- Some physical activity required (equipment installation, lifting up to 40 pounds)
