Job Summary & Job Duties
The Quality Technician (QT) is responsible for the metrology of product manufacturing and
ensures the dimensions and form of the product meets Purchase Order and drawing
requirements.
- Perform testing (ex : tensile, hardness, bend, etc.)
- Operate CMM and other automated inspection equipment
- Participates in Kaizen events and problem solving projects
- Properly read and interpret engineering drawings
- Interpret and comprehend both internal and external specifications
- Perform and maintain company tool and instrument calibration system
- Perform Customer DQCR functions, as applicable
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections
- Create and maintain Inspection Record Sheets
- Utilize Technetics Inspection Plans (TIPs)
- Prepare and perform metallographic evaluations
- Perform inventory transactions within the MRP / ERP Software system (Macola)
- Perform 1st Piece Inspection from Production Floor
- Prepare Data Packages and other QA Documentation (COCs, etc.) for Delivery
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), as applicable
Minimum Qualifications
NCR and Blueprint Reading
knowledge of QMS data software systems
documents, and industry publications. Ability to respond effectively to inquiry or
complaints from manufacturing personnel
intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas,
scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in their basic form
