Warehouse Associate

General summary

The Warehouse Associate safely operates forklifts or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, staging, and transporting products.

Primary functions & responsibilities

· Maintaining inventory integrity and accuracy

· Cycle count schedule each month

· Prepare shop pick tickets, verify inventory to the pick ticket, and stage for delivery

· Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices

· Receive and unload incoming material from customers and vendors. Verify the packing list to the purchase orders for accuracy of shipment Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received

· Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the warehouse coordinator of findings

· Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and stand uplift

· Maintain a clean and organized environment

· Ability to read and comprehend drawings or material specifications, a plus

Qualifications

· Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written

· Basic math equations - add, subtract, multiply, and divide

· Knowledge of Microsoft office, basic business systems NAV preferred

· Must have experience operating a Forklift and/or Standup

· High School Diploma or GED

· Warehouse experience required in receiving, order picking, and/or shipping

Working conditions

· Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop for extended periods, including standing, crouching, lifting, bending, etc.

· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Physical Demand

· Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to bend, twist, climb ladders

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
