Companion/Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs in their home and community settings. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those they assist, ensuring their safety, dignity, and independence. This position requires a commitment to fostering positive relationships and promoting personal growth among clients.

Duties

• Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation.
• Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Document daily activities and report any concerns or changes in client status to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

• Previous experience in home community care or caregiving is preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with physical and mental health disabilities.
• Strong communication skills
• A compassionate & patient approach towards supporting individuals with varying abilities is required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
