Preschool Teacher (part-time)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing age-appropriate curricula and engaging children in various activities that promote learning through play. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with parents and caregivers to ensure the well-being and growth of each child.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and develop social skills.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, using appropriate techniques to promote positive interactions among students.
• Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents on their progress.
• Create a safe and welcoming classroom space that reflects the needs and interests of the children.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in early childhood education.
• Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and child welfare regulations within the classroom setting.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Proficient in behavior management techniques to support positive classroom dynamics.
• Experience with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is highly desirable.
• Ability to develop creative curriculum plans that engage young learners effectively.
• Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience in childcare settings with a focus on nurturing young children's growth and well-being.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
