What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expo Bartender position at Enrique's Mexican Restaurant?
We are a locally owned business in the Kuna, ID, area. We have been in business since 1998 and were previously called El Gallo Giro. In 2015, we changed the name to represent the man who made this restaurant a staple, Enrique. Enrique is a hands-on owner who is fearless in helping and guiding his team. Our customers have high expectations when they enter, and our mission is to meet or exceed them.
We have a 360-degree bar and guest seating. We are looking for an enthusiastic bar expo to provide excellent guest drinks. This is a bar expo position only, not a bartender position.
The expo bartender creates drinks for the dining room guests. These are the drinks the servers will put in the POS and print in the bar. The servers will garnish and bring the drinks to the guests. You can make up to 800 drinks within a shift. This is a high-volume and fast-paced position. Compensation includes tips.
Training is 10 days. Training wage will be based on experience.
Expo Responsibilities
- Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
- Interacting with customers, taking orders, and serving drinks
- Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience. Develop an efficient work pace that satisfies the bar and dining room customers.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed.
- Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum.
Requirements
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Meets the state minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Confident, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- An eye for detail and understanding of drink-mixing tools and techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc., for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean
