What are the responsibilities and job description for the Take-Out / To-Go Specialist position at Enrique's Mexican Restaurant?
We are a locally owned business in the Kuna, ID, area. We have been in business since 1998 and were previously called El Gallo Giro. In 2015 we changed the name to represent the man who made this restaurant a staple, Enrique. Enrique is a hands-on owner who is fearless in helping and guiding his team. Our customers have high expectations when they enter, and our mission is to meet or exceed these expectations.
If you want to get into the serving position but need to gain experience or are not age-appropriate, this is the way to go! The To-go Specialist is responsible for coordinating the To-go food. This includes taking accurate telephone, online, or in-person orders, organizing food orders, and delivering to guests. Assembles prepared food, drinks, and condiments in to-go containers to ensure food transport is complete, clean, and safe for guests. The To-go specialist is responsible for delivering a fun and satisfying To-go dining experience to Guests.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday working between 25-30 hours per week. Sunday & Monday are off.
Tuesday - Thursday: 5 pm - 9:30 pm
Friday: 4 pm - 10:30 pm
Saturday: 12 pm - 10:30 pm (break in between)
Responsibilities
- Explains menu items and offer appropriate suggestions to Guests.
- Performs Guest services by taking orders, serving food and beverages to the Guests promptly, and following the standards set by the restaurant.
- Safely handles food prep equipment such as knives, coffee maker, ice tea machine, etc.
- Uses the POS (Point of Sale) system and handheld device effectively and accurately.
- Must maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary workstation.
- Lifting- up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally.

- The part time take-out specialist ranges between 15-25 hours a week. The take out specialist potential schedule: Friday 4:30 pm- 10:00 pm, Saturday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm, and one day during the week if needed 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm. We are closed Sundays and Mondays. Are you able to work this schedule?
