What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waiter/Waitress position at Enrique's Mexican Restaurant?
We are a locally owned business in the Kuna, ID, area. We have been in business since 1998 and were previously called El Gallo Giro. In 2015, we changed the name to represent the man who made this restaurant a staple, Enrique. Enrique is a hands-on owner who is fearless in helping and guiding his team. Our customers have high expectations when they enter, and our mission is to meet or exceed these expectations. We are looking for part-time employees. Friday- Saturday is required, and another weekday, depending on demand.
We are looking for a competent Restaurant Server to take orders and deliver them to our guests, maintaining and enhancing our customer service quality. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards. The goal is to accelerate our business development by providing customers with a memorable experience. You will receive tips as well as your hourly wage for compensation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
- Memorize the drink and dessert menu for on-demand recitation. Up-sell desserts and drinks as appropriate for individual guests and parties.
- Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products. Transmit orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices and identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff. Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations, and know if the kitchen staff needs more items, etc.
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
