What We Are Looking For
As a Civil Design Engineer, you will work on various projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading the engineering and design effort for site civil, stormwater drainage, industrial wastewater, and utility design projects
- Projects include civil design, solid waste management/landfill design, impoundments, and roadway plans and profiles
- Problem-solving across multi-disciplinary teams
- Mentor junior-level staff and provide direction to design teams
- Participating in and coordinating various design and construction meetings with clients and subcontractors (including Pre-bid meetings)
- Planning, scheduling, and conducting detailed phases of design work
- EnSafe is a sell/manage/do organization, so your duties will also include marketing/sales support, project and practice management, and client project involvement where appropriate
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (Masters preferred)
- A minimum of 7 years of civil design experience, preferably with an Engineering consulting firm
- Current PE in the respective state or the ability to obtain a PE license
- Previous experience with civil engineering design capabilities with both municipal and industrial clients
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Group management and mentoring
- Regional travel is required, national travel for client meetings is likely
