Position Description
ENSCO is seeking a Senior Level Railway Research Engineer with experience within the railroad industry to provide research, engineering, testing, and training services to the railway industry in the areas of track; rolling stock; signals and communications; and human factors.
Efforts may focus on a wide variety of railway initiatives including :
- Rolling stock testing such as ride quality, braking performance and noise / vibration levels
- Vehicle / Track Interaction modeling, simulation, and testing
- Vehicle and track component evaluations
- Bridge evaluations
- Signal and communications testing
- Grade crossing safety
- Ergonomics and human factors

Qualifications Required :
Railroad regulations require that the selected candidate must pass an e-RAILSAFE security background check and online safety tests to work on railroad properties. Wearing safety equipment(hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is required. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
