We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Systems Engineer to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC / SZ) portfolio. The position is available in Gilbert, AZ.

Duties include but are not limited to :

Support enterprise integration and modernization of tactical level Command, Control & Communications (C3) capabilities to transform satellite operations and improve resiliency.
Perform space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
Provide technical oversight of development efforts (i.e., design, development, manufacturing, assembly, integration, test, production and sustainment) whether they are traditional acquisition methods (e.g., waterfall, spiral, etc.) or agile / prototype.
Support development of operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies and mitigation approaches.
Manage risk management processes and methods and recommend / implement risk reduction measures.

Qualifications Desired

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

Experience working in development environment and / or U.S. Government weapons system program office.

Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM / PO, etc.).

Qualifications Required (Skills)

BS / BA with more than 12 years of experience; MS / MA with more than 10 years of experience

Highly knowledgeable in classified space control systems engineering processes and procedures, including but not limited to requirements development, configuration control, and government Deficiency Review (DR) board establishment, execution, and DR disposition and management

Demonstrates ability to organize and conduct ACAT-like technical design reviews and audits

Demonstrates ability to develop, update, and coordinate ACAT-like program documentation

Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.

Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.

MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS / SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
