What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitue Hip-Hop Teacher position at Ensemble Performing Arts?
Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced substitute hip-hop teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at D'valda & Sirico Dance and Music Centre. Our growing studio in Fairfield, CT, focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because D'Valda & Sirico is about More Than Just Great Dancing!®
Substitute teachers will be contacted when there is a deficit in a main teacher's schedule but consistency is appreciated by both students and school staff, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.
Preference will be given to candidates with open availability on weekday afternoon/evenings.

Responsibilities:
- Instructing students in hip-hop techniques across various skill levels, beginner through advanced (ages 4-15).
- Strong background in hip-hop required for this position.
- Implementing lesson plans for strength, flexibility, and love of dance, tailored to individual and group needs.
- Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit traits of dependability, professionalism, punctuality, enthusiasm, friendliness, patience, and leadership.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the art of teaching dance.
- Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus)
