The Revenue Integrity Specialist is responsible for reviewing all assigned work queues (charge, accounts, and claims edits) and for making all necessary corrections. Notify manager of any identified trends or issues which require follow up. This role must possess analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness in researching and resolving revenue integrity related issues. The Revenue Integrity Specialist is expected to manage their time effectively, prioritize and perform tasks accurately, and meet set deadlines. is expected to meet and/or exceed all productivity and quality standards established by the department and to support the organization in meeting its financial goals. Responsibilities: The Revenue Integrity Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate CPT and/or ICD-10 documentation for the patient billing process. The Revenue Integrity Specialist will accurately document services performed and will use the appropriate codes representing those services. Examine and resolve errors identified through Epic work queues (account, charge, & claims edit) related to charge capture practices for Ensemble clients. Reviews the medical record to ensure that the documentation supports services charged and follow up with the clinical departments to add any missing documentation. Prevent revenue loss via identifying & resolving system and human errors that could potentially lead to missing or incorrect charge capture. Review processes and workflow to enhance accurate and timely charging and eliminate late and incorrect charging. Investigates and reports to management all potential charge capture issues and assist with finding resolution. Meet or exceed department productivity and quality standards. Work closely with Ensemble clients to establish and maintain positive relations to ensure their revenue capture goals are achieved. Maintain working knowledge of CPT codes, CCI & MUE edits, & other Medicare billing and charge capture rules. Provide education on CPT codes changes, charge capture workflows, late and incorrect charges, charge capture compliance, payer contracts, and government rules, & regulations. Experience We Love: 2 years related experience required Excellent knowledge of Epic, Excel and SQL queries. Working knowledge of CPT & HCPCs coding guidelines. Excellent computer, proof reading, and written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with CHP internal and external customer base. Ability to work independently, proactively with limited supervision and also as a team player when called upon. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to maintain the security of confidential information.
