Catering Sales Manager
SUMMARY:
The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing catering sales for the hotel, ensuring the successful execution of events, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with various hotel departments while consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals.

3-5 years related experience in hotel group sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized or non-standardized situations. Ability to be proactive with duties and responsibilities.

Catering Sales Manager
SUMMARY:
The Catering Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing catering sales for the hotel, ensuring the successful execution of events, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work collaboratively with various hotel departments while consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve catering revenue goals.
- Identify and target potential clients through cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Conduct site tours, client meetings, and presentations to promote the hotel's catering services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to encourage repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process.
- Handle client inquiries, negotiate contracts, and close sales to meet revenue targets.
- Review all bills, invoices and statements to ensure accurate and timely final billing to clients.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Work closely with the culinary team, banquet staff, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure high standards of service and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain good and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors.
- Work with DOSM to create promotional materials and campaigns to drive catering sales.
- Utilize social media, email marketing, and other channels to promote the hotel's catering offerings.
- Attend trade shows, bridal fairs, and other industry events to showcase the hotel's capabilities.
- Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and event orders.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details in the CRM system.
- Generate regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Minimum of two years’ of catering/event planning experience in a hotel or catering environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and communication skills
- Must have knowledge of Windows based programs. Delphi, Hilton Systems experience preferred but not required.
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

- Must speak and communicate in English.
- Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of various computer programs, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet Explorer.
- Knowledge of Delphi and Hilton Systems a plus, but not required.
