We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of CNC Swiss Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating precision-machined parts by setting up and operating a Swiss style CNC machining center per work orders, routers, and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete tool, fixture, and material setup on CNC Swiss style machine.
- Run first piece article ready for inspection.
- Verify parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Change tools and offsets based on cutting conditions.
- Produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards using proper methodology and cutting tools.
- Use proper feed, speed, and other cutting parameters based on workpiece materials such as aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc.
- Revised programs as needed based on engineering or production required changes.
- Participate in troubleshooting on CNC programming and production-related issues on the shop floor.
Requirements:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Minimum 3 years experience in CNC operation with setup experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience operating a Swiss style machining center.
- Experience with Citizen A20, L20 or M32 machines a plus.
- Dual spindle lathe and 5 axis milling experience a plus.
- ESPRIT programming software experience a plus.
- General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Work with little or no supervision, previous lead experience a plus.
- Minimum High school education or equivalent.
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
- Meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements.
