Job Description
EBAD is seeking a skilled and experienced Detailer/Drafter to join our team in Simsbury, CT. This position reports directly to the Drafting Supervisor and plays a key role in supporting our engineering and manufacturing operations through precise technical drawings and documentation.

Responsibilities:
The Detailer/Drafter is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining detailed technical drawings and 3D models used in the design and manufacturing of components, assemblies, and systems. Working closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders, the Detailer/Drafter ensures accuracy, compliance with design standards, and timely delivery of drawing packages.
- Process Change Requests (CRs) by updating drawings and models to reflect design modifications
- Develop and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on engineering specifications, sketches, and change requests
- Interface with Designers and Product Engineers to create and modify drawings and models
- Ensure drawing accuracy and adherence to ASME and EBAD standards
- Update ERP system (IFS) with the latest drawing versions
- Maintain drawing files, documentation, and revision control
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of ASME Y14.100-2017 and ASME Y14.5-2018, and proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks 2023 preferred). Experience with 2D/3D drafting, BOMs, and ERP systems (IFS) is required. At least 2 years of CAD drafting experience, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Requirements also include;
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks 2023 preferred)
- Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modeling
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawing standards (ASME Y14.100-2017 and ASME Y14.5-2018)
- Understanding of BOMs (Bill of Materials) and part/assembly structures.
- Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Education & Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in CAD drafting or a similar role
- High school diploma or associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, CAD Design, or a related field
