EBAD seeks a Test Technician, reporting to the Test lab Services Manager. This is a second shift position located in Moorpark, CA. Must be available to train on first shift.
Responsibilities
The Test Technician position supports environmental testing of development and production products. Duties include:
- Test evaluation, set-up and performance
- Equipment preventive maintenance and calibration
- Test data plotting and reporting
- Equipment troubleshooting and repair
Primary responsibility will be evaluation, set-up and performance of vibration, shock and climatic testing. Testing will be performed in accordance with written procedures, MIL-STD's and industry specifications. Test data will be generated to support customer requirements. Occasional heavy lifting, travel and overtime may be required.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma (Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred).
Candidates must be able to work independently and interface with individuals at multiple levels in the organization. Strong mechanical aptitude, problem solving and communication skills are required. Candidates must be able to interpret and execute test requirements provided in written specifications. Knowledge of working with explosive materials and/or ordnance devices is beneficial. Experience working in an aerospace industry is preferred. The ideal candidate will take initiative as needed to complete tasks and will have experience in a test lab environment with exposure to the following areas:
Instrumentation
- Pressure Transducers
- Accelerometers
- Oscilloscopes
- Charge Amplifiers & Signal Conditioners
- Constant Current Supplies
- Digital and Analog Filters
- Thermocouples
- Watlow F4 and F4T programming
- Thermotron control and programming
Desired Skills:
- Microsoft Word and Excel Proficiency
- Vibration Research Control Software
- General knowledge on operating thermal chamber control systems
- Ability to work independently
Compensation: Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Salary is
determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
