What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Workday Systems position at Ensign College?
This position will function as the primary Workday system manager and configuration expert for Ensign College working closely with IT, Finance and HR components of the Workday system. As a member of the IT department, there would be ongoing coordination with all Workday participating partners. - Be eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday configuration and administration
- Strong experience in either Workday HCM or Finance modules, with a willingness to learn the other module
- Demonstrated experience with Workday reporting and analytics
- Experience with tenant-wide Workday configuration management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with various stakeholders across the college
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to document and maintain Workday configuration changes and processes
- Experience with both Workday HCM and Finance modules
- Previous experience with Workday tenant transitions or major configuration projects
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning
- Experience with Workday Student
- Knowledge of Workday Studio, Workday Extend, and integration tools
- Experience working in higher education
- Serve as Ensign College's primary Workday configuration expert
- Manage tenant-wide Workday configuration in collaboration with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders
- Support the tenant divestiture project as a Workday technical and governance resource
- Create and maintain Workday reports as needed across departments
- Collaborate with other Workday specialists on security configuration and system administration
- Provide Workday expertise and support to other staff members
- Manage Workday roadmap and coordinate management, updates, and releases
- Document configuration decisions and maintain configuration standards
- Coordinate the testing of regular product updates and changes to product configuration
- Explore and present information regarding update adoption options that will provide needed functionality
- Manage Workday support contacts and training resources for the college
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for security, business processes, reporting, and integrations
- Participate in Workday related committees and/or workgroups related to divestiture, HCM, Finance, and SIS
- Oversee ongoing Workday collaboration efforts with other CES entities
- Ability to deeply analyze specific configuration needs and create effective solutions
- Skilled in creating and managing custom reports, dashboards, and analytics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to train participation partners and provide ongoing support for system-related queries
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and system updates
