The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote safe work practices and demonstrate a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies and regulations
- Mill, turn, cut, and fabricate tools and machine parts according to specifications, monitor accuracy during machining
- Utilize a diverse range of precision tools and equipment, including drill presses, chop saws, lathes, and Bridgeport, boring and CNC mills
- Accurately read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Ensure all work meets stringent quality standards, adhering to instructions and specifications
- Comply with industry regulations and safety protocols
- Regularly maintain a safe work environment, follow safety protocols, clean, and repair machinery and equipment as needed
- Mechanical aptitude for using various industrial tools and machinery
- Strong analytical skills, very careful and accurate, and an unwavering attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and the ability to follow instructions
- Physical fitness to handle lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds)
- Working knowledge of applicable practices, procedures, policies and regulations
- Proven ability to work as a productive team member
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Demonstrated strong customer service orientation
- High school diploma or GED certificate; trade school background preferred
- Minimum of three years of applicable machining experience
- CNC experience a plus, but not required
