Position Responsibilities
Resident Care & Services
- Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Oversee the assessment process, ensuring proper placement and development of individualized care plans.
- Monitor residents’ health, well-being, and behavior changes, coordinating with healthcare providers as needed.
- Partner with families and physicians to ensure optimal care coordination.
- Implement memory care programming that promotes cognitive engagement, independence, and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, medication management, and safety procedures.
- Hire, train, and supervise caregivers, medication technicians, and program staff.
- Provide ongoing training in dementia care, assisted living best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on compassionate, person-centered care.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.
- Ensure the RCFE meets all state licensing requirements, including Title 22 inspections and audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, incidents, and regulatory reports.
- Oversee admissions, move-ins, and transitions between levels of care.
- Manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation for both assisted living and memory care units.
- Partner with the RCFE Administrator to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.
- Partner with the RCFE Administrator to organize and oversee ongoing training, ensuring the training meets regulatory compliance and adheres to best practices.
- Serve as the primary contact for family communication, education, and support.
- Plan and oversee engagement activities, support groups, and dementia-friendly events.
- Mediate concerns and ensure resident and family satisfaction with care and services.
- Work with marketing teams to promote memory care and assisted living services.
- Develop partnerships with local healthcare providers, hospice, and dementia care organizations.
- Participate in networking events, training, and RCFE industry conferences.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Gerontology, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of leadership experience in memory care, assisted living, or an RCFE setting is required.
- Dementia care certification preferred (e.g., CDP – Certified Dementia Practitioner)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- In-depth understanding of RCFE Title 22 regulations, particularly regarding dementia care best practices, and resident rights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive family dynamics and resident behavioral changes with compassion.
- Ability to handle emergencies with calm and effective decision-making.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and HIPAA compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid California driver’s license is required.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to potential hazards, including disinfectants, infections, and bloodborne pathogens.
- Capability to push wheelchairs weighing between 50 and 250 pounds.
