Position Overview:
As an Environmental Services (EVS) Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall safety within our community. You will be responsible for ensuring a hygienic environment conducive to the well-being of our residents, visitors, and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding cleanliness standards.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs floor care that consists of extracting and /or shampooing carpets, spot removing stains, buffing floors, stripping /scrubbing and refinishing floors.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing as necessary. Identify and report any maintenance issues related to flooring.
- Perform regular cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection of public areas, offices, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces such as windows, mirrors, countertops, and furniture to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a presentable environment.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and materials as needed. Report any shortages or discrepancies in inventory to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and environmental services policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to spillages, accidents, or other emergency situations requiring immediate cleaning and disinfection to ensure the safety of individuals within the facility.
- Work collaboratively with other EVS team members, as well as other departments to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles.
- Assist in moving and arranging furniture and equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall cleanliness and functionality of the community.
Position Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in environmental services, janitorial work, or related field preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, residents and visitors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required to effectively communicate with team members, follow instructions, and ensure safety in the workplace.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk 90% of the workday.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and hold up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, bend and stretch frequently in small tight areas.

Compensation and Benefits
Enso Village is committed to equal pay and transparency. The salary range for this position is $24.00 -$29.00 per hour. This salary range provided as a general guideline and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors, including candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, external non-profit market data, and business considerations.
