Scientist / Senior Scientist, Protein Engineering
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist / Senior Scientist to join our Protein Engineering team in Boston as we develop innovative antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for treating diseases with unmet medical needs. This position is ideal for a candidate with a passion for cutting-edge biochemistry and a desire to make a significant impact in the in vivo gene therapy space leveraging expertise in ADC and therapeutic protein engineering fields.
As part of a growing team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers and develop your skills in protein conjugation, antibody engineering, and cell-based assay development. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the in vivo biology and genome editing teams, as well as CROs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a strong scientific and technical background and hands-on experience to continue building upon this foundation in a high-impact role.
Responsibilities :
- Lead efforts in antibody and protein engineering for ADC development.
- Design, execute, and optimize conjugation strategies for linking payloads to antibodies or proteins.
- Develop and troubleshoot cell-based assays to evaluate ADC potency and efficacy.
- Interface with CROs and external partners to oversee outsourced workstreams, ensuring high-quality data generation.
- Interpret experimental data, integrate findings with current scientific literature, and propose innovative solutions for ADC optimization.
- Present findings to internal teams, multidisciplinary research groups, and at external meetings or conferences when appropriate.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and research associates, fostering a collaborative research environment.
- Identify and escalate technical challenges, incorporating feedback to optimize research outcomes.
