About the Sr Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, manage, monitor, and support one of the company’s main Operational Systems that runs several port facilities
- Gather system requirements from end users and document for implementation.
- Troubleshoot software and network-related issues.
- Participate in the Software Change Management Process.
- Act as Tier 2/Tier 3 Support for operational issues with the given application
- Stay apprised of software development trends, recommend improvements to our devops process accordingly
- Willingness to travel to other sites as needed (~10%). THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION AND WILL BE BASED OUT OF OUR HOUSTON, TX OR NEW HAVEN LOCATIONS.

Sr Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years experience developing commercial-grade software systems, with an emphasis on real-time operational systems
- 3 years experience with PHP and Javascript developing commercial-grade web applications
- Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops a plus
- Familiarity with SQL Server a plus
- Must be comfortable working with end-users who have varying levels of technical knowledge
- Ability to work on small teams to deliver world-class software projects
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset and outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Awareness of current cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques
