What are the responsibilities and job description for the Support Staff position at Enswell?
Enswell is an all-day cafe with a full kitchen, comprehensive cocktail menu and bottleshop. Owned and operated by Rival Bros Coffee Roasters, Enswell opened in 2023 in the space of a previous Rival Bros cafe on Spruce Street. The restaurant brings together many different passions and services under one roof; Enswell aims to be a place where one might have a phenomenal cup of coffee right next to another enjoying a craft cocktail or upscale meal.
We are looking for applicants who are interested in supporting our front of house service staff during dinner and weekend service. Enswell support staff takes ownership over their station through working clean and efficiently, while supporting the service staff. There is a mandate of being helpful and supporting the general front of house needs during all services which is outlined below. We are small space so we must work together to deliver a superior experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Support and assist servers staff during service including bussing tables, running food, and washing glassware
- Attend scheduled shifts on time and in accordance with dress code and appearance guidelines
- Take and fulfill cafe orders when there is no barista present
- Have a clear understanding of all cafe items and a willingness to help customers understand the cafe menu and retail coffee selections
- Keep their station clean, presentable, and organized: this includes taking out trash, doing dishes and polishing glassware
- Work cohesively with front of house staff by assiting in running food, washing glassware, bussing tables, resetting tables, taking out trash and linens, etc.
- Communicate with staff and managers to keep the work environment functioning smoothly
- Complete all side work before the end of a shift
