Job Posting Summary :
Ensworth School seeks an experienced Spanish teacher to join its high school faculty. The ideal applicant will have the demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues and three or more years of teaching experience in various levels of high school Spanish. The ability to work with students at the regular and advanced levels across the curriculum is highly desired. Strong pedagogical content knowledge and proficiency with educational technology are essential, as is a growth mindset. Above all, the successful applicant will have demonstrated a commitment to the principles expressed in the Ensworth Vision Statement, executing their role with moral integrity, intellectual vitality, discipline, compassion, humor, and joy.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
- Abides by Ensworth's Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.
- Commits to the ideals expressed in Ensworth's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement.
- Adheres to the Essential Expectations of an Ensworth Faculty, Staff, or Administrator
- Teaches 5 sections of Spanish.
- Works to promote and instill Ensworth's core skills into each student.
- Collaborates frequently with other members of the Spanish team as well as rest the World Language department.
- Provides continual assessment of student progress and communicates academic performance with the support of the World Language Department Chair.
- Serves as an advisor to a small group of students and monitors the health and well-being of each advisee's academic, social, and personal life at Ensworth.
- Integrates technology to support curricular aims and help students effectively achieve their goals.
- Provides student support and supervision both inside and outside the classroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
