Job Posting Summary :
Ensworth School seeks a dynamic and experienced Physical Education teacher to join its middle school faculty. This individual will lead engaging, developmentally appropriate P.E. classes that promote physical fitness, skill development, teamwork, and lifelong wellness. In addition to teaching, the ideal candidate will coach multiple sports and contribute to the school's athletic program. A background in fitness instruction is preferred, and CSCS certification is highly desirable. The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm for working with middle school students, a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments. Above all, the successful applicant will have demonstrated a commitment to the principles expressed in the Ensworth Vision Statement, executing their role with moral integrity, intellectual vitality, discipline, compassion, humor, and joy.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions :
- Abides by Ensworth's Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct.

- Serve as an advisor in support of our student life and experiential learning program.
- Integrates technology to support curricular aims and help students effectively achieve their goals.
- Provides continual assessment of student progress and communicates academic performance with the support of the PE Department Chair.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to develop curricula and plan assessments.
- Supports a diverse group of learners from a variety of backgrounds.
- Employs educational technology that augments and enhances the learning experience.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Middle School.
