Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Allergy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This position involves assisting with allergy testing, patient education, and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for patients undergoing allergy evaluations. The Allergy Technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality service in a Level II Trauma Center.
Duties
- Conduct allergy tests under the supervision of licensed medical staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of allergy medications and treatments.
- Monitor patients during testing procedures, recording vital signs and observing for any adverse reactions.
- Provide patient education regarding allergy management, treatment options, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and test results, using medical terminology appropriately.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained according to health regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to effectively communicate with patients about their conditions.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical/allergy office setting is preferred, particularly in roles involving patient service or care.
- Familiarity with basic life support techniques and vital sign monitoring is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to allergy treatment and patient care is required.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
