CLINICAL ALLERGY SPECIALIST
Maryland ENT is seeking a compassionate and organized Allergy Specialist with previous experience administering allergy testing and shots. This is a full-time position and requires travel between our Johnston's Professional Building and our Lutherville location. This role will report to the Practice Administrator. The salary range for this position is $20-$23hr.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administering allergy tests, skin tests, and pulmonary function tests.
- Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
- Maintain patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
- Educate patients on allergy management and prevention.
- Call and schedule patients' appointments and verify insurance.
- Over time cross train in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, CT, and Triage.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT REQUIRED.
All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
