Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing disorders in patients of all ages. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology as it relates to audiology. The Audiology provider will provide exceptional patient service, conduct thorough patient assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations to assess hearing function.
- Diagnose hearing loss and related disorders through various testing methods.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing health.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in occupational health settings.
- Stay updated on advancements in audiology practices and technologies.
Experience
- A degree in Audiology or a related field is required; clinical experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to the auditory system is essential.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is beneficial.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience in conducting patient assessments to inform treatment decisions.
